Bird's Eye Bistro
In this watercolor project, students selected a bird’s-eye-view reference photo of a plate of food and used the grid method to accurately transfer their image to paper. Students focused on observational drawing and the use of implied texture to create the appearance of different foods and surfaces. After completing their drawings, students learned foundational watercolor techniques, including layering, blending, and paint control, to bring their compositions to life.
